In February, 1918, on petition of the plaintiff in the Court of Chancery in the State of New Jersey, — it appearing in divorce proceedings instituted by the defendant that the plaintiff and the defendant were lawfully married in 1899 and the defendant without justifiable cause abandoned, and neglected to provide for, the plaintiff, — the defendant was ordered to pay her “Ten dollars per week from and after the date of the filing of the bill of complaint in this cause [[August 16, 1915] for and towards the support and maintenance of the complainant and her infant child.” On May 31 an execution…
