Plaintiff has operated a funeral home on its property since 1997. In this zoning dispute, the City of Mt. Juliet Board of Zoning Appeals (“the Board”) refused to allow plaintiff to establish a crematory as an expansion of plaintiffs funeral home services. The funeral home had been a legal nonconforming use of plaintiffs property since the City’s zoning ordinance was amended in 1998.
