Appeal from an order of the Supreme Court (Lang, Jr., J.), entered July 15, 1998 in Albany County, which, inter alia, granted petitioner’s application pursuant to CPLR 7511 to vacate an arbitration award.

This proceeding concerns a fee dispute between petitioner, a law firm, and respondent, its client. Following compulsory arbitration (see, 22 NYCRR 136.10), a three-member arbitration panel rendered a determination in November 1996 absolving respondent of responsibility for the disputed amount, $5,595.
