Appeal by tbe trustees of Macalester college from a judgment of the district court confirming an assessment of benefits against its property for paving Macalester avenue which extends north and south along the westerly side of the college campus.

St. Paul is a home rule city. The assessment was made under sections 233-257 of .its charter.
