SCNO Barge Lines, Inc. (SCNO) brought this action against Sun Transportation Company (Sun) and the United States (Government) for the cost of repairing sev*223en barges damaged by grounding while in tow on the Missouri River. The district court 1 entered judgment in favor of SCNO, apportioned liability for the damages between the defendants at a ratio of 40% against the Government and 60% against Sun, and awarded prejudgment interest at the rate of 10% against Sun only. All three parties appeal from the judgment.
