Plaintiff brought an action in circuit court based upon part of CLS 1956, § 436.22 * (Stat Ann 1957 Rev § 18.993), which authorizes those who have been injured in person or property, means of support or otherwise, by an intoxicated person to bring an action against the person who shall by reason of unlawful selling or furnishing of in toxicating liquor to said person cause or contribute to his intoxication.
Plaintiff is the guardian of Deborah Johnson who was born March 8,1957. Deborah is the illegitimate daughter of Sharon Johnson, an unmarried woman.
