VOIGT, Chief Justice.

[¶1] The appellant was convicted of "[alt-tempt{ing] to cause, or intentionally or know ingly caus[ing] bodily injury to another with a deadly weapon," in violation of Wyo. Stat. Ann. § 6-2-502(a)(ii) (LexisNexis 2007). He appeals that conviction, raising the various issues set forth below. We affirm in part and reverse in part.
