You have requested an opinion from this office on whether John Breaux, a former member of the U.S. Senate from Louisiana, may legally enter the 2007 governor's race. Your request lists a number of facts pertaining to Mr. Breaux's connection to Louisiana, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
