— Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Westchester County (Cowhey, J.), rendered May 28, 1986, convicting him of attempted rape in the first degree (three counts), attempted sodomy in the first degree (two counts), robbery in the second degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, after a nonjury trial, and imposing sentence. The appeal brings up for review the denial, after a hearing, of that branch of the defendant’s omnibus motion which was to suppress statements made by him to the police.
