People v. Shabaz
Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York
1Opinion of the Court
Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Golia, J.), rendered September 13, 1989, convicting him of murder in the second degree, attempted murder in the second degree, assault in the second degree, criminal use of a firearm in the first degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence. The appeal brings up for review the denial, after a hearing, of that branch of the defendant’s omnibus motion which was to suppress certain inculpatory statements made by him to law enforcement authorities.
