MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

Pending before the court is defendants’ motion for stay of proceedings and order compelling arbitration. Plaintiffs oppose the motion on several grounds, which are discussed below.
Plaintiffs filed this action against defendants, alleging violations of federal securities law, state securities law, and common law fraud. According to plaintiffs’ complaint, plaintiffs were customers of defendant Merrill Lynch (“Merrill Lynch”) and maintained an account in Merrill Lynch’s Hot Springs, Arkansas office.
