Emily Armour brought an action of trespass on the case in the superior court of Cook county against the Pennsylvania Railroad Company, a corporation, to recover damages for personal injuries. The jury found the defendant guilty and assessed the plaintiff’s damages at the sum of six thousand dollars. Motions for a new trial and in arrest of judgment were made and denied and judgment was rendered on the verdict.
