Marshall Field was killed while piloting an airplane owned by the Sheboygan Airways, Inc. That corporation owned two airplanes, which were used to carry for hire principally passengers, and at times students in aeronautics. Field had been employed at a monthly salary by the corporation to pilot its airplanes when carrying passengers for hire, and also to give instructions to its students.
