Burnside v. Geico General Insurance Co.

Court of Appeals of Georgia

1Opinion of the Court

Dillard, Judge.

Robert W Burnside and Marianne E. Burnside appeal the trial court’s grant of summary judgment to GEICO General Insurance Company on the Burnsides’ declaratory-judgment action, in which the Burnsides claim to have never received notice from GEICO regarding the cancellation of an automobile insurance policy. The Burnsides now argue that the trial court erred by finding that GEICO followed the statutory requirements of OCGA §§ 33-24-44 1 and 33-24-45 (c) 2 for cancelling their insurance policy. Finding no error, we affirm the grant of summary judgment in favor of GEICO.
