The plaintiff was a boy two and one-half years old, and the defendant was Ms grandmother; the child’s mother was the daughter of the grandmother. The grandmother purchased a Chevrolet coupe, and procured a learner’s permit to drive, in August, and had taken “ some ” lessons. She moved her home from Dryden to Cortland on September 6, 1932, and left the car beMnd until the latter part of September when it was driven to Cortland by the daughter, a licensed driver, the grandmother riding therein.
