The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSC) appeals the trial court’s order denying its plea to the jurisdiction in a lawsuit filed by Michelle Stevens, Individually and as Next Friend of Kyra Stevens. In this accelerated appeal, UTHSC argues the trial court erred in denying its plea to the jurisdiction because UTHSC conclusively established it did not receive notice of the claim within six months of the date of injury as required by section 101.101 of the Texas Tort Claims Act (the TCA).
