1Opinion of the Court

LAURA DENVIR STITH, Judge.

Defendant-Appellant Eric S. Trotter appeals from his conviction of forgery of a check in violation of Section 570.090.1(4) RSMo 1994, for which he was sentenced to seven years in prison. Mr. Trotter asserts that the trial court erred in denying his motion for judgment of acquittal because the State was required to prove that he actually completed writing and offered the forged check, whereas the evidence showed that he never offered the check and left the store without completely filling *190it out or tearing it from the checkbook.
