On June 29, 1904, the appellant, Judson, commenced an action entitled W. B. Judson v. C. S. Patrick et al., against this plaintiff and seventeen other parties to quiet his alleged title to various pare'Is of lard in Los Angeles County, including lots fifteen and sixteen of the New York Tract, averring in his complaint that he was the owner in fee thereof and that defendants had no estate or interest therein.
