Plaintiff Eileen Williams brings this action pursuant to section 205(g) of the Social Security Act (the “Act”) as amended, 42 U.S.C. § 405(g), seeking judicial review of a final decision by the defendant Secretary of Health and Human Services (the “Secretary” of “HHS”) denying her application for widow’s insurance benefits. The Secretary has moved under Rule 12(c), Fed.R. Civ.P., for judgment on the pleadings. Plaintiff has cross-moved for judgment on the pleadings.
