Appeal from the Superior Court of the city of New-York. Action for the recovery of personal property, tried before Woodkuff, J., in May, 1856. The plaintiffs were manufacturers, at Leicester, England. John and James Hall were copartners and merchants in the city of New-York, where they dealt in lace and hosiery, under the name of Hall Brothers. They had also a house in Nottingham, England, where they carried on business under the name of J. & J. Hall.
