OPINION OF THE COURT

FULTON, Judge:

The appellant pled not guilty, but was convicted by a special court-martial of possessing and selling marihuana in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. § 934. The court members sentenced him to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement for one month, forfeiture of $235.00 for one month, and reduction to Private E-l. The convening authority approved only the conviction for possession, approved the full sentence, but suspended the discharge for nine months.
