Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Columbia County (Leaman, J.), rendered November 21, 1997, upon a verdict convicting defendant of four counts of the crime of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree.

Defendant was charged with four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and four counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree arising from his sale of crack cocaine to undercover police officers on four separate occasions between January 1997 and May 1997.
