*659At the conclusion of a trial on the issue of damages, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the defendant, finding that the subject motor vehicle accident was not a substantial factor in causing the injuries allegedly sustained by the plaintiff Deborah Daniels. The plaintiffs contend that the jury verdict on the issue of damages should be set aside because it was contrary to the weight of the evidence.
