This appeal arises from a personal injury action filed by plaintiff, Lynn Healy, on August 10, 1983, against Bearco Management, Inc., Bear & Sons, Inc., and McDonald’s Corporation, in the circuit court of Kane County. Plaintiff alleged that she fell on a wet floor as she exited a McDonald’s restaurant in Elgin, Illinois, on December 1, 1982, due to defendants’ negligence, and as a result she sustained severe and permanent back injuries.
