MERCK, Senior Judge:

A general court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members convicted appellant, contrary to his pleas, of attempted robbery, rape, larceny, wrongful appropriation, assault with a dangerous weapon,1 housebreaking, kidnapping, and communicating a threat, in violation of Articles 80, 120, 121, 128, 130, and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 880, 920, 921, 928, 930, and 934 [hereinafter UCMJ].
