This is an appeal from the judgment of the district court for Douglas county. The petitioner, the Elkhorn Valley Drainage District, in August, 1909, filed a petition in the county court of Douglas county seeking to condemn certain land within the limits of the said drainage district, and on November 24,1909, filed a supplemental petition alleging that the defendants were the owners of the south*261west quarter of the northeast quarter, the south half of the northwest quarter, the north half of the southwest quarter, and the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter, all in section 23, township…
