On a charge of wife and child abandonment appellant Castle was convicted by a jury and his punishment assessed at three years in the Arkansas State Penitentiary. This appeal followed.

For reversal appellant first earnestly contends that the trial court erred in permitting the state to amend the information after the jury had been selected and sworn. We do not agree.
