Appellant was convicted by a jury of the crime of aggravated robbery, in violation of Ark. Stat. Ann. § 41-2102 (Repl. 1977), and of battery in the first degree, in violation of Ark. Stat. Ann. § 41-1601 (Repl. 1977). He was sentenced to consecutive terms: life imprisonment for aggravated robbery and 20 years imprisonment for first degree battery. On appeal he argues: (1) the trial court erred in not granting a new trial because of a tainted in-court identification by a witness; and, (2) the trial court erred in convicting him of aggravated robbery and first degree…
