Defendant-appellant Anthony Guariglia appeals from a judgment of conviction entered on June 3, 1991 in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (Mukasey, J.) after a jury found him guilty of criminal contempt, under 18 U.S.C. § 401(3), for violating a bankruptcy court order, and of perjury, under 18 U.S.C. § 1623. The charges against defendant stem from his participation in a bribery and fraud conspiracy involving the officers and directors of the Wedtech Corporation (“Wedtech”), and his subsequent cooperation with the government in the…
