GIVENS, Chief Justice.

Petitioner, defendant in a divorce proceeding, her former husband therein plain*471tiff and one of defendants herein, seeks permanent writs of prohibition and mandate to, in effect, preserve the status quo ante of the possession, to the extent hereafter indicated, of the community property of the parties pending an appeal by petitioner challenging the distribution of the property made by the trial court in connection with granting her a divorce on her cross-complaint.
