The facts in this case áre not in dispute and aré'as follows: On April 14, 1948, a written application signed by more than six resident freeholders was made and filed with the town clerk of the town of Little Grant for the laying out of a public highway therein which would run entirely through lands owned by plaintiff-appellant, Norma M.- Roberts.
