HAYS, Justice.

Appellant, Edward Nelson Rickman, was convicted of one count of armed robbery with a gun, A.R.S. § 13-1904(A), a class two, dangerous nature felony; and one count of escape in the second degree, A.R.S. § 13-2503, a class five felony. Appellant admitted allegations of prior convictions and that he was on probation at the time of the offenses alleged in the indictment. Thereafter, he was sentenced to life imprisonment for armed robbery, A.R.S. § 13-604.01 (now A.R.S. § 13-604.02), and to a term of five years for escape.
