In this consolidated appeal Paul W. Cochran and Jacob T. Ellzey challenge their convictions for conspiracy, 18 U.S.C. § 371; mail fraud, 18 U.S.C. § 1341 and § 2; wire fraud, 18 U.S.C. § 1343 and § 2; and interstate transportation of securities obtained by fraud, 18 U.S.C. § 2314 and § 2. The issues raised by both parties on appeal concern (1) the sufficiency of the evidence to sustain their convictions and (2) the improper admission of evidence.
