The Board of Appeals of Georgetown (board) *237granted the defendant Cynthia Wylie a variance and special permit allowing her to construct a riding academy and public stable. Raymond C., Richard W., and Diane L. Bateman, abutters to the land,3 appealed to the Superior Court under G. L. c. 40A, § 17. A judge of that court decided the board had acted within its authority.
