MEMORANDUM OPINION

HARLIN D. HALE, Bankruptcy Judge.

This case presents two issues which often occur in large Chapter 11 cases— whether a master lease agreement may be rejected as to some, but not all, of the properties subject to the lease, and, if so, what is the effective date for the rejection?

The Debtors are party to a master sublease agreement which covers a number of restaurant facilities. Upon filing their bankruptcy cases, the Debtors sought to reject the master sublease agreement with respect to some, but not all, of those facilities. Some of the premises sought for rejection have…
