Rodolfo Roxas brought this action against the defendants alleging discrimination on the basis of race, national origin, gender, and age, in violation of 42 U.S.C. § 1981, Title VII (42 U.S.C. § 2000e), and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) (29 U.S.C. §§ 621-634), in the denial of his application for sabbatical leave. The district court 1 granted the defendants’ motion for summary judgment because Roxas failed to produce any evidence to show that the defendants’ proffered reasons for the denial were pretexts for unlawful discrimination.
