RULING AND ORDER RE: INVOLUNTARY MEDICATION

DRONEY, District Judge.

Pending before the Court is the government’s request to medicate the defendant involuntarily as part of his court-ordered treatment under 18 U.S.C. § 4241(d)(2)(A). The request is GRANTED as follows.

I. BACKGROUND

On October 27, 1998, the defendant was indicted by a federal grand jury on one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1).
