Defendant was tried and convicted in the Circuit Court of the City of St. Louis for violation of Section 3350, Revised Statutes 1919, the indictment charging that on or about January 17, 1928, he, being president of the International Life Insurance Company, a corporation, wilfully, designedly and feloniously procured the signing of a certain false and fraudulent certificate of ownership of three thousand shares of the capital stock of said corporation with felonious intent to issue the same, said certificate being numbered D11011.
