This case had its origin in a collision between automobiles driven by Vivian Y. Sosa and Cletus Steffes, which occurred on March 1, 1962, in Jackson County, Missouri. Plaintiff, hereinafter called appellant, filed suit for damages against defend ants Steffes and Velvet Dairy Stores, hereinafter called respondents. The petition alleged negligence on the part of respondents and stated that appellant had received personal injuries as the result of the collision which consisted of bruises to her back, spine, and leg, and a lumbar disc and soft tissue injury.
