Before the court is Plaintiffs’ Motion for Class Certification. For the following reasons, Plaintiffs’ motion is granted in part and denied in part.
I. BACKGROUND
In the Spring of 1995, the Center for Science in the Public Interest (“CSPI”), an advocacy group that opposes, among other things, the use of starches and sugars in food products, issued a report that was highly critical of the baby food products manufactured and distributed by Defendant Gerber Products Company (“Gerber”).
