This litigation 1 was initiated to determine the rights of different parties to insurance policies on the life of deceased, Roberta Dowdell. The guardians of her three minor children brought the actions against the insurance companies, the administrator of her estate, and the husband, who after having been charged with the second-degree murder of his wife, had pleaded guilty to manslaughter and served a term in the penitentiary therefor. The complaints contained identical allegations that Roberta Dowdell’s life was brought to an untimely end by the felonious act of Charles Leonard Dowdell.…
