Jimmy Cook (“Defendant”) appeals his conviction of first-degree murder and armed criminal action under §§ 565.020 and 571.015, respectively. 1 After a bench trial, the court sentenced Defendant to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. On appeal, Defendant alleges the trial court erred in overruling his motion to suppress two inculpatory statements made to the police and admitting them into evidence over his objection.
