This is a post-conviction application for writ of habeas corpus filed pursuant to Article 11.07 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure. Tex.Crim. PROC.Code ANN. § 11.07 (Vernon 1994). Applicant files this writ attacking his conviction for attempted capital murder in which the jury assessed punishment, enhanced by two prior felony convictions, at life imprisonment. Tex.
