I can scarcely conjecture what there is to review in this case. The plaintiff in error was indicted for obtaining forty dollars in money from one Charles H. Ludington by false pretenses; he plead guilty to the indictment, and was sentenced to imprisonment in the State prison for three years.
After the plea of guilty, which had an equal effect with a verdict of guilty given upon evidence, his counsel moved to have the judgment arrested on the ground that the indictment was defective in substance, for this is all that can be meant by the claim put forth by counsel that the pretenses alleged did…
