The plaintiff brought ejectment to recover possession of certain lands upon the Island of Oahu alleged in its amended complaint to be part of the public lands of the Territory which *650the defendants had unjustly and contrary to law and the-rights of the plaintiff taken into their possession and converted to their use and occupation, for which wrongful acts the sum of $2,000 was claimed as damages.
