This is an application on petition for a peremptory writ of mandamus to compel the respondents to allow the relator to examine and make extracts from the stock books of the Colorado Fuel & Iron Company, under the provisions of section 53 of the Stock Corporation Law (L. 1891, ch. 384, § 3); or, if *447there is no such book as described, in the statute, to examine and extract from any books and papers containing the information required by law to be kept in such stock book.
