The plaintiff Cook is the publisher of the Niles Daily Star. The plaintiff Radican was inter*390ested with him in the transaction covered by the contract hereinafter referred to. The defendant was the owner of, a farm, and on the 1st of July, 1891, the parties entered into a written contract as follows:
