This was a prosecution against the defendant in error to recover by action of debt the penalty provided by law for selling drugs in violation of an act to regulate the practice of pharmacy in the State of Illinois.

The complaint on which the prosecution was instituted was filed before a justice of the peace and charges the defendant in error with selling one dime’s worth of tincture of iodine and one dime’s worth of quinine without being a registered pharmacist, as required by the act.
