1Opinion of the CourtAlexander, J.

¶1 We granted Glenn Nichols’s petition to review a decision of the Court of Appeals denying Nichols’s personal restraint petition (PRP) in which he challenged his convictions on charges of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and possession of marijuana. We reject Nichols’s contention that Seattle police officers violated article I, section 7 of our state’s constitution when they obtained information from a motel desk clerk that indicated that Nichols was a registered guest at the motel. We, therefore, affirm the Court of Appeals.
