On May 22, 1926, the defendant, William S. Buckland, executed a subscription to the plaintiff in the amount of $10,000, upon the express consideration of “other subscriptions and contributions and the undertaking of the Young Men’s Christian Association of Norristown, Pa., in contracting to erect and equip a new building; to liquidate the present mortgage of sixty thousand dollars, and to purchase a boy’s camp site”.
